We first met Caysen in December 2022, when he joined us as a Mini Sticks kid. Caysen was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at age 2½. He completed treatment in November 2020, and we were excited to meet him and his family a couple of years later at a Mini Sticks game.

Now 10 years old, Caysen has just started 5th grade! He plays baseball and flag football and recently started playing hockey. 

Caysen had so much fun at his Mini Sticks night back in 2022, and we’re glad we got to be part of that memory and his family continues to stay in touch!

Colt was our first Mini Sticks Kid. We met him at an Omaha Lancers season opener in 2022, where he attended the game with his older brother, Ty. He met Tucker who was playing defense for Omaha at the time.

Colt was diagnosed with rhabdomyosarcoma on October 12, 2018. He went through 54 weeks of chemotherapy and eight weeks of radiation at St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee. On New Year's Eve 2019, he was declared to have no evidence of disease.

Today, Colt is 12 and getting ready to start sixth grade. He's doing great in school and was recently elected to both student council and his school's bully response team.

Colt is still keeping busy with the sports he loves. He plays both hockey and baseball, enjoys being outside, and has recently found a new love for fishing.

We are so happy to see how much Colt has grown since we first met him, and we're grateful that he continues to be part of the Mini Sticks family. His story is one of the reasons we started Mini Sticks—and it's pretty special to be able to watch him grow up.
